Hey There! Let’s Talk About Your Privacy
Look, I get it – nobody loves reading privacy policies. But since you’re trusting me with your information (and your family’s dinner plans), I want to be completely transparent about how I handle your data.
This policy explains what information I collect, why I need it, how I use it, and most importantly, how I protect it. I’ve written this in plain English because legal jargon helps nobody.
The short version: I only collect what I need to serve you better, I never sell your information, and I protect your data like it’s my own family’s.
Information I Collect (And Why I Need It)
When You Subscribe to My Newsletter
What I collect: Your email address and first name (if you share it) Why I need it: To send you recipes, nutrition tips, and family meal inspiration How you benefit: You get my latest plant-based family recipes and evidence-based nutrition advice delivered right to your inbox
When You Download Free Resources
What I collect: Email address, name, and sometimes what type of family situation you’re in (like “parent of picky eater”) Why I need it: To send you the download and follow up with related helpful content How you benefit: You get the resource you wanted plus targeted advice that fits your specific situation
When You Purchase Meal Plans or Courses
What I collect:
- Contact information (name, email, billing address)
- Payment information (processed securely through Stripe – I never see your full credit card number)
- Your meal preferences and family dietary needs when relevant
Why I need it: To process your purchase, deliver your content, and provide customer support How you benefit: You get exactly what you paid for, plus personalized customer service when you need help
When You Comment or Email Me
What I collect: Whatever you choose to share – your name, email, location, family situation, questions, challenges Why I need it: To respond thoughtfully and helpfully to your specific situation How you benefit: You get personalized advice and become part of our supportive community
Website Analytics (The Technical Stuff)
What I collect: How you use my website – pages you visit, how long you stay, what device you’re using, general location (like “Portland, Oregon” not your street address) Why I need it: To understand what content helps families most and improve your experience How you benefit: I create more of the content you actually find useful and fix things that aren’t working well
Tools I use: Google Analytics, Hotjar (for understanding how you navigate the site), and social media pixels for relevant advertising
